What do you do when you already have a full-time job, a toddler at home and no time to rest? You start a business...right???
I have always loved flowers, but I have never thought that I could make this in to something more. I had the privilege of coming to the aid of a friend during her wedding when her florist had an accident on the way to the venue. (Don't worry; everyone was OK). That is when I realized I had just uncovered some hidden skill. It wasn't cool like telepathy or the ability to tell my left from my right, but it was something. I joked about starting up "Wedding 911" to help brides in need, but it never came to fruition.
Fast forward a few years and one of my closest friends asks me to do her wedding. A REAL-LIFE WEDDING. This time I had months to prepare, scope out flowers and really hone my craft. It was one of the hardest, yet most gratifying things I have ever done. Hours of stress and sweat melted upon seeing the joy on her face after receiving her bouquet. I decided soon after to start Joyful Blooms...because I'm crazy. I hope to share my creations and passion with everyone soon, but I'm so happy that my first booking is a friend.
Thank you, Steph and Matt for letting me be a part of your day. Thank you, Isiah & Taylor Photography for preserving these moments perfectly.
